2010 NBA All-Star Weekend: Rookie Challenge (UPDATED)
It’s the 2010 NBA All-Star weekend, and this Friday, February 12, is the 2010 T-Mobile Rookie Challenge & Youth Jam where the league’s top Rookies and Sophomores collide. The event will be held at American Airlines Center, home of the Dallas Mavericks at 9:00 pm ET.
For the last seven years the Sophomores have won over the Rookies. Is tonight’s game will have a different outcome? Let’s see in the rosters:
For the Rookie Team:

The head coaches for the Rookie team will be 6-time All-Star and The Nuggets’ Adrian Dantley. The Magic’s Patrick Ewing will lead the coaching staff for the Sophomores.
Chris Bosh (Toronto Raptors) will assist Patrick Ewing while Kevin Durant (Oklahoma City Thunders) will be at the Rookies’ side.
The Rookies won over the Sophomores at the NBA Rookie Challenge at American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas, 140-128. Tyreke Evans took home MVP honors.
The NBA All-Star Saturday Night competition will be held tomorrow, February 13, also at the American Airlines Arena. Saturday night’s event include:
1)Shooting Stars (featuring NBA, WNBA players and NBA Legends)
2) The Skills Challenge
3) The Foot Locker Three-Point Shootout
4) The Sprite Slam Dunk showdown
The 2010 NBA All-Star Game (East vs. West All-Stars) will be aired on Sunday, February 14, in a different location. The game will take place at the Dallas Cowboys New Stadium in Arlington and will start at 8 pm ET.
