2010 American Music Awards Results

AMA_logoThe 38th Annual American Music Awards (AMA) was handed out Sunday, November 21, 2010 at the Nokia Theater.

Justin Bieber took the most number of awards at four. He became the youngest winner for the Artist of the Year award to date.

  • T-Mobile Breakthrough Artist – Justin Bieber
  • Favorite Pop/Rock Male Artist – Justin Bieber
  • Favorite Country Band/Duo/Group – Lady Antebellum
  • Favorite Alternative Rock Artist – Muse
  • Favorite Adult Contemporary Artist – Michael Buble
  • Favorite Soul/R&B Male Artist – Usher
  • Artist of the Year – Justin Bieber
  • Favorite Pop/Rock Female Artist – Lady Gaga
  • Favorite Album – My World 2.0 – Justin Bieber
  • Favorite Rap/Hip-Hop Male Artist – Eminem
  • Favorite Rap/Hip-Hop Album – Recovery – Eminem
  • Favorite Soundtrack – Glee: The Music, Volume 3 Showstoppers Glee cast
  • Favorite Contemporary Inspirational Artist – MercyMe

Performers at the ceremony were: Rihanna, Enrique Iglesias, Pitbull, Miley Cyrus, Diddy-Dirty Money, Kid Rock, The Black Eyed Peas, Katy Perry, Justin Bieber, Bon Jovi, Pink, Ne-Yo, Taylor Swift, Christina Aguilera, Usher, Train, Kesha, Carlos Santana, Gavin Rossdale, Backstreet Boys and New Kids on the Block.

Unlike the Grammy Awards which is determined by members of the entertainment industry, the AMA is determined by a poll of music buyers.
