Here’s the disturbing 911 audio of the call made by Sandra Herold, owner of the 15-year-old chimp who viciously attacked her friend Charla Nash.

The recording posted on the Daily News, captures the terror of Monday’s attack, which left 55-year-old Nash seriously injured and the 200-pound monkey dead after a police officer shoot him.

The chimp can be heard screaming in the background on the 911 call:

Caller: “Send the police!”

911: “What’s the problem there?”

Caller: “The chimp killed my friend”

Nash suffered extensive facial and hand injuries when she was attacked, Stamford Hospital’s Dr. Kevin Miller said.

WARNING: Shocking Audio

Is it me or did you think the 911 operator was a complete idiot in how he kept repeating the woman who’s friend was attacked by the Chimpanzee. I grow irritated each time I hear the stupid ass.

I worked a crisis hotline and know you need clarity but he never indicated he would send a car…he knew the address as she called from a land line and the terror in her voice was obvious. He wasted precious time especially if a car was near by the home. What a tragedy and I have not heard any commentary on how he handled that call.
  • this chimp attack must have been nightmarish for that lady; i guess you never know what might put a chimp over the edge
