Accident Involving Trace Adkins Tour Bus Leaves Two Dead
The tour bus carrying the band of American country music artist Trace Adkins collided with a Ford-F-250 truck at 9:30 am, February 13, somewhere in US Highway 71 near Shreveport – seat of Caddo Parish, Louisiana (pictured).
Two men being carried by the Ford truck died on the spot. They were Justin R. Maxey, 21 of Fouke, Arkansas and Jeffrey R. Ferguson, Jr., 36, of Texarkana, Arkansas. Maxey was driving the Ford truck.
Five out of the nine who were on board the tour bus sustained injuries. They were taken to the North Caddo Memorial Hospital in Vivian, Louisiana.
According to reports, the Ford crossed the center line meeting head on with the bus which was going the other direction. The truck was weaving in and out of its line before the accident occurred.
The bus was gearing towards Bossier City, Lousiana, where Adkins will be performing with Martina McBride and Sarah Buxton at the CenturyTel Center.
“It’s been a tragic day,” Adkins said about the incident.
