Acer Recalls Aspire Laptops in the US
Acer has issued a recall in the US for around 22,000 different Acer Aspire One models. The models affected in the recall are as follows: AS3410, AS3410T, AS3810T, AS3810TG, AS3810TZ, and AS3810TZG.
According to PCWorld, the recall was issued due to overheat problems. It was reported that the laptop could cause potential burns due to a faulty microphone wire found underneath the palm rest.
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission also published an alert to let the people know about the risks involved in using all the specific Aspire One line up. Additionally, the commission said that affected units were sold between the months of June to October 2009.
Acer has also issued the same recall notice to European customers last October.
