Aerosmith Band Member Says Steven Tyler Gets ‘American Idol’ Job
The bassist of the American hard rock band Aerosmith has announced that their frontman has already inked a deal to become the next judge in American Idol.
“Steven is doing American Idol. The ink is dry on that,” said Tom Hamilton, the band’s bassist. “So, we’ll have to work around his schedule for a new record.”
Of course, Fox is not making any comments.
The issue of who will sit with Randy Jackson in the show’s tenth season has been going on for a few months now following the departure of Simon Cowell and Ellen DeGeneres as judges. Kara DioGuardi has been rumored to have been fired but her father says she has not been informed of her contract status.
Those who are being considered to become critics for the show’s would-be contestants are Shania Twain, Jennifer Lopez and Harry Connick Jr. Lopez, however, is said to be already out of the running.
