African Cup of Nations: Cameroon vs. Tunisia
Four time champions Cameroon and 2004 winners Tunisia lock horns in Angola in a rematch of the 2008 quarter-final that saw both teams come out on top after an exciting match that went to extra time.
Cameroon must win tonight (17:00 CET) to guarantee progress from Group D, but triumph is far from certain after a not-so-amazing performance in the tournament to this point.
If the Indomitable Lions draw against Tunisia, then they have to hope that the Copper Bullets of Zambia do not defeat Gabon in the other match. But with the likes of Inter Milan’s Samuel Eto’o and Lyon’s Jean Makoun in the squad, Cameroon will be a tough opponent to beat.
The Carthage Eagles, on the other hand, failed to beat Gabon in their last outing and they need to win this one in order to go through.
UPDATE: Cameroon came from behind twice to seal a 2-2 draw against Tunisia and reach the quarterfinals of the African Nations Cup.
