Alec Baldwin to Charlie Sheen: “Beg for Your Job Back”
Drawing from a past experience about battling Hollywood studios, multi-awarded actor Alec Baldwin gave some advice to recently axed comedian Charlie Sheen.
“Take a nap. Get a shower. Call Chuck [Lorre]. Go on Letterman and make an apology… And then beg for your job back. Your fans demand it. … Beg for America’s forgiveness. They will give it to you. And then go back,” were just some of the advice given by the 30 Rock star to the Two and a Half Men actor in a piece released in The Huffington Post.
Lorre is Sheen’s boss whom the actor gave derogatory remarks that led to his dismissal from the show.
Baldwin also said that one can’t really win against executives of studios and networks. He said that such powerful men believe “that no actor is greater than the show itself when the show is a hit.”
The advise ended with a postscript: “buy [Jon] Cryer a really nice car.”
