Alton Brown, Giada De Laurentiis and Bobby Flay back with new cast of contenders
The well-known culinary icons Alton Brown, Giada De Laurentiis and Bobby Flay will soon be back for the tenth season of Food Network Star that will be launching with the one-hour premiere on Sunday, June 1st, at 9pm ET/PT.
This season, as the previous ones, are filled with intense challenges that put both the contestants’ culinary as well as the on-camera skills to the test. From party bites to viral video challenges, from on-camera appearance on Rachael Ray to Cutthroat Kitchen competition – the show will be offering something to everyones liking. The winner of the show will be awarded his or her own show on Food Network.
“Every season, viewers love seeing new talent emerge on Food Network Star,” said Bob Tuschman, General Manager and Senior Vice President, Food Network. “Watching three superstars of the food television world – Alton, Giada and Bobby – help the finalists hone their food, voice and on-camera skill is fascinating, fun and compelling.”
The contestants who get eliminated will still have a chance to re-enter the show through the web-exclusive Star Salvation series that will be available at FoodNetwork.com/Salvation. Hosted by last season’s Food Network Star winner Damaris Phillips and Iron Chef Geoffrey Zakarian, the six-episode web-only series gives the eliminated contestants one more chance to get back to the game.
