Amanda Seyfried in negotiations to star in Linda Lovelace biopic
We caught word that Amanda Seyfried is in talks to star as Linda Lovelace in one of two competing biopics about the legendary porn star-turned-activist.
Several actresses have circled the high-profile project. At one point, Kate Hudson was linked to play the lead role. However, the 32-year-old Bride Wars star was reportedly forced to pull out of the project when she fell pregnant last year. Peter Sarsgaard is in the running to play Chuck Traynor, Linda’s ex-husband and pornographer, a part previously attached with James Franco.
Rob Epstein and Jeffrey Friedman are directing the film. It is based on The Complete Linda Lovelace, a book by Eric Danville, and will chronicle Linda’s younger years, from her start as an innocent schoolgirl named Linda Boreman, to her meeting with Traynor and his decision to cast her in the 1972 porn flick Deep Throat, which was one of the highest grossing independent movies of all time.
