Allison Iraheta sings Blame It On Your Heart by Patty Loveless.

Guest mentor and country music icon Randy Travis says, “I’ve been around the business a long time but I’m not sure I’ve ever heard quite the maturity in the voice of a 16-year-old that I hear in Allison.” I think he really likes her. “Don’t try to be too cute, just sing it with the pipes you have–you have great pipes,” he adds.

Kara thinks Allison could sing the alphabet and make it sound good. Paula calls it “rock solid,” but urges her to experiment with all sides of her vocals. Simon says it was a little bit tuneless in parts, and “verging on precocious.” Randy didn’t think it was precocious at all. He says it was “dope.”

Allison is a really good singer and her vocal prowess is perfect for this song. But, her performance wasn’t particularly memorable. She could be in trouble.
