‘American Idol’ results: Thia Megia and Naima Adedapo bid farewell (VIDEO)
Thursday night’s double eviction episode on “American Idol” sent home Milwaukee mom Naima Adedapo and teen crooner Thia Megia after Ryan Seacrest revealed they received the lowest votes among 11 finalists. Paul McDonald joined the ladies in the bottom three. Two contestants got booted out because the judges used their save power for Casey Abrams last week.
I’m not really surprised that Thia and Naima were eliminated. The 16-year-old high school student from Mountain House, California has a lovely voice, however, she has been criticized for repeatedly singing ballads and not getting out of her comfort zone. Naima, meanwhile, fell flat on her silly reggae adaptation of Elton John’s “I’m Still Standing” during her performance on Wednesday night.
The other remaining finalists are Haley Reinhart, Stefano Langone, James Durbin, Lauren Alaina, Jacob Lusk, Scotty McCreery and Pia Toscano.
