American Idol Top 10 Results: Michael Sarver gets the boot
Sorry Michael Sarver fans… but Daddy’s going home.
Michael, the 27-year-old oil rig worker from Texas, was the latest to be voted off “American Idol“ Thursday, after receiving the lowest number of votes on Motown night.
Over 36 million votes came in– a record for this stage of the competition.
The night was loaded with performances from music legends. Stevie Wonder brought the crowd to its feet while Smokey Robinson and Joss Stone joined for an emotional duet. Former “Idol” frontrunner Ruben Studdard also took the stage.
Michael made his final plea by belting out “Ain’t Too Proud to Beg,” but it just wasn’t smooth enough to survive two consecutive weeks in the bottom three. And the judges have decided not to save him.
During his performance last night Paula said, “Oh boy…it felt Las Vegas loungy to me…you weren’t reaching the notes…I’m sorry.”
“I couldn’t wait for it to end…you have no chance of winning this competition with that vocal…it isn’t good enough,” Simon added.
What do you think of the results?
