‘America’s Got Talent’ Contestant Arrested for Wife’s Death and Drug Possession
An aspiring contestant in the current season of America’s Got Talent was arrested for possessing drugs and possible connection with the death of his wife.
Joe Finley reported that his wife was missing before he went to the auditions of the reality-competition show at Los Angeles. This probably means that he did not participate in the search by the police because he was in the audition line-up.
He later learned that wife Laura was found dead in a stairwell of the Millennium Baltimore Hotel (pictured), the location of the auditions. Police questioned Finley at which time they discovered that he has three pills of Ecstasy in his possession. He was then arrested.
Police say that Finley is considered only as a “person of interest” in the death of his wife, something that some reports indicate to being considered as accidental.
The Got Talent hopeful is currently out of jail after paying a 10,000 USD bail.
Meanwhile, America’s Got Talent released this statement about the incident, “We are fully cooperating with authorities to investigate this very unfortunate situation and have no further comment at this time.”
