Another rockstar gone, Mike Starr dead at 32
Mike Starr, the original bassist for Alice in Chains, was found dead Tuesday afternoon in a Salt Lake City house, according to a report first posted by TMZ. He was 44. The cause of death is currently unknown.
Starr, who battled drug addiction, appeared on VH1’s “Celebrity Rehab” in 2009. He was arrested last month for felony possession of a controlled substance.
Alice in Chains lead singer Layne Staley died from “speedball”, a mixture of heroin and cocaine, nine years ago.
