Apple Loosens Software Development Rules
But Flash is still not allowed in Apple mobile devices.
Apple issued a set of rules regarding the type of contents that are allowed and not allowed in its App Store. This will help developers decide what kind of applications to develop with diminished possibility of their efforts and time going to a waste in the event they get disapproved. It will also help customers buying mobile phones which ones to get in terms of applications that can become available to them.
“We have over 250,000 apps in the App Store. We don’t need any more Fart apps. If your app doesn’t do something useful or provide some form of lasting entertainment, it may not be accepted,” said one of the statements in the guidelines.
Another announcement made was that of the creation of a review board which will become a venue for any developer to challenge the rejection of their application.
By the way, for those looking for an application that features a Russian roulette, your hopes are in vain, one of the statements said: “Apps that include games of Russian roulette will be rejected.”
