Arctic Monkeys announce new single
English alternative rock band Arctic Monkeys have announced that they will release “My Propeller” as the third single from their latest studio album Humbug.
The track will be released on March 22 and will be available on 7″ and 10″ featuring three fresh Arctic Monkeys songs—“Joining The Dots”, “The Afternoon’s Hat” and “Don’t Forget Whose Legs You’re On”.
The 10-inch vinyl will be available exclusively through Oxfam’s network of UK shops, while the seven-inch single is available elsewhere.
Humbug proves that the band, led by front man Alex Turner, has evolved in terms of songwriting— overshadowing other artists in their genre. It is also curious to note that the group had listened to Jimi Hendrix and Cream while writing the album as revealed by Turner.
The Arctic Monkeys are one of the first acts who gained wave in the music scene via the Internet through fan-based sites that would possibly change the business landscape in terms of promotion & marketing in the music industry today.
