Are You Ready for Playstation Phone?
Photos of the rumored Playstation Phone surfaced Wednesday, October 27, nearly confirming a merge between Sony‘s Playstation Portable (PSP) and mobile phone maker Sony Ericsson. To top it all, it will be sporting the operating system Android (version 3.0, a.k.a. Gingerbread).
The photo shows a black gadget with the Sony Ericsson brand and game control keys of the PSP in a slider phone style gadget. The screen is projected to be in the range between 3.7 to 4.1 inches. (The PSP screen is at 4.3 inches while the PSP Go screen is at 3.8 inches).
The gadget is viewed to be aimed in competing with Apple gadgets iPod Touch and iPhone. Apple CEO Steve Jobs had previously claimed that the said devices have become the hand-held gaming leaders.
Tough some reports say that if the device is really hitting the market, it might be released within the year. Majority of the reports however, projects 2011 as a much safer release target date.
Sony Computer Entertainment of America refused to make any comments (therefore not confirmed nor denied), when asked about the said gadget.
