Artie Lange attempted suicide reports “Page Six”
The New York Post’s “Page Six” is reporting the Howard Stern sidekick Artie Lange was hospitalized last weekend due to a suicide attempt.
Quoting from the report from Page Six:
“Troubled comic Artie Lange landed in the hospital after stabbing himself nine times in an apparent suicide attempt, sources told The Post.”
The comedian’s mother was reportedly the one who called 911, Saturday Morning, after seeing her son covered with blood in his Hoboken apartment. Lange suffered “hesitation wounds” and three “deep plunges” but doctors managed to save him.
Arthur Steven “Artie” Lange, Jr. is an actor, comedian, radio personality and author. Lange is most notable for replacing Jackie Martling on “The Howard Stern Show”, and for being an original cast member of the sketch comedy series MADtv.
