Assembly-language Animation

ASSEMBLY is the largest combined demo and computer festival in the demoscene calendar, held in Helsinki, Finland. It is a four day computer festival, in which thousands of people and their computers spend the long weekend by meeting friends, playing games, surfing on the net, and watching some good animation demos.

The “old-school” animation below was created using Assembly language. The demo is running on an 8mhz Mac Classic from the early 90s, with a monochrome display. It’s the winner!

The guy who made this demo is just amazing! The only program in assembly that I can create back in college was a simple calculator with no animation whatsoever. It’s “geekery” at it’s best!
