Australian Wins Monaco Grand Prix
Has everyone already watched the film Iron Man 2? In the movie, Tony Spark (Robert Downey, Jr.) joined the Monaco Grand Prix but was not able to cross the finish line because Ivan Vanko (Mickey Rourke) attacked him in the middle of the race.
Well, in the real Monaco Grand Prix held Sunday, May 16, there was no live action drama as Australian Mark Webber became the first man from the land down under to win the title in more than half a century. The last time an Australian won was in 1959 when Jack Brabham ruled the race.
Placing second is Red Bull – Renault teammate Sebastian Vettel of Germany.
Webber is on a row after winning the fifth leg of the 2010 Formula One season at the Spanish Grand Prix. He now currently leads the championship board.
The seventh round, the 2010 Turkish Grand Prix will be held on May 30 at Istanbul. There are 19 rounds in the season, with the 2010 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix as the concluding leg and slated on November 14.
