Beyonce is Best-Paid Celebrity Under 30

Beyonce has been hailed for the second-straight year as Forbes magazine’s best-paid celeb under 30, beating the likes of Britney Spears and Lady Gaga for the honor.

Beyonce earned an estimated $87 million from June 2009 to June 2010, more than $20 million than her closest rival. The 28-year-old former Destiny’s Child and the wife of rapper Jay-Z earned her millions from endorsements that ranged from Nintendo to L’Oreal, as well as from her own fashion line, Dereon. Her world tour during the period also raked in $86 million, as testament of her drawing power and continuously diversifying market.

Coming in as a surprise second to Beyonce is Britney Spears, who has been relatively silent since recovering from the breakdown of her personal life. However, what made Spears one of the top earners in her age group was her hugely successful world tour, which earned a total box-office gross of $130 million. Spears earned a total of $64 million from that, enough to edge Lady Gaga for second place. Gaga, whose controversial videos have earned her criticisms from several sectors, raked in $62 million, thanks to a successful world tour and several high-paying product endorsements.

Rounding out the top five are Miley Cyrus ($48 million) and Taylor Swift ($45 million). LeBron James of the NBA’s Miami Heat and Swiss tennis star Roger Federer are tied in sixth place with $43 million each. They are followed by NFL quarterback Eli Manning at $40 million and linebacker Terrell Suggs at $38 million. Rounding out the top-12 list are football star Cristiano Ronaldo ($36 million), The Jonas Brothers ($35.5 million), and Philip Rivers of the San Diego Chargers ($23 million).
