I hope this isn’t true.

Sarah Lane, Natalie Portman’s body double in “Black Swan”, is claiming that the Oscar-winning actress only did “5 percent” of the dancing in the film. This comes after Portman’s dancing partner (and now fiancé) Benjamin Millepied told the Los Angeles Times, “she just did the footwork, and the fouettes, and one diagonal phrase in the studio. Honestly, 85% of that movie is Natalie.”

Lane, 27, says she performed many of the difficult dance routines in the movie and Portman’s head was then digitally placed onto her body. The American Ballet Theater soloist alleges she was told by bosses at Fox Searchlight to keep her mouth shut so that Portman could take the credit for the impressive dance moves herself.

Part of what won Natalie her Academy Award was the belief that she transformed herself into a professional ballerina for the role, and some are apparently upset by this revelation.
