Bode Miller Misses Olympic Gold

American skier Bode Miller continued on his comeback trail, barely missing his first-ever Olympic gold medal by finishing second in the Super-G event. The 32-year-old Easton, New Hampshire native took home the silver medal while teammate Andrew Weibrecht settled for the bronze medal in another strong showing for Team USA at the Alps.

Aksel Lund Svindal of Norway held off Miller for the gold medal. The silver medal made Miller the first American to win four medals in Alpine events. It was also the second medal for the prodigal son of Team USA after his bronze medal in the downhill event on Monday.

Miller had predicted winning a medal in every event that he is entered, and he has been right on the money, so far. He is scheduled to compete in the Super-Combined, Giant Slalom, and Slalom events in the coming days. “There’s nothing I want to do more than win a Slalom again,” he said.
