Brad L. Graham, inventor of term ‘blogosphere,’ dies at 41
Theater publicist Brad L. Graham, who you may or may not know as the person credited for coining the term “blogosphere,” has passed away. His body was found Monday in his home in St. Louis, Missouri, and he is believed to have died of natural causes.
One of his closest friends and artistic director of the Repertory Theater of St. Louis, Steven Woolf, said that he was shocked by Graham’s sudden demise and shared that “He was an important part of our family. Actors and artists all liked working with him, and he loved this theater. He was a real professional.”
Apart from working as a PR manager for the said theater, Graham was also notably active as an old-school blogger and social networking enthusiast. He serendipitously invented the now ubiquitous term “blogosphere,” which comprises all blogs and their interconnections, in one of his blog posts dated September 10, 1999.
He was 41.
