Brad Pitt Saves “World War Z” Extra from Being Trampled

Brad Pitt may now be considered as a real-life hero aside from being one in the upcoming zombie film “World War Z.”

The 47-year-old actor reportedly saved a film extra from being trampled during a chaotic scene for “World War Z.” According to reports, an extra fell down during a scene where some 700 people were running for their lives in a zombie invasion scene. Pitt reportedly scooped up the female extra who may have been trampled had it not for the timely reaction from the actor. “Lots of people hurt themselves, and Brad came to the rescue of a woman who slipped,” the Sun reported. “He didn’t have time to speak to her as it was mid-shoot. But she said afterwards how grateful she was, despite having a badly grazed knee.”

Several of the extras reportedly suffered some light injuries during the shooting of the particular scene, although it was not the first time that an untoward incident occurred on the set. According to one source, Pitt and director Peter Mullan were starting to get concerned of the injuries.
