Bret Michaels underwent emergency appendectomy
Celebrity Apprentice star and Poison lead vocalist Bret Michaels was rushed to the hospital to undergo emergency appendectomy. It was learned that the singer had been suffering severe stomach pains.
Michaels was unable to perform his gig at SeaWorld and was forced to move the date of his other singing engagements.
It was learned that the singer tried to ignore the pains on Sunday night. He truly planned to go on stage, and dismissed the pains as a mere flu. However, doctors strongly advised him to undergo surgery.
The singer’s rep told the entertainment source People that: “Michaels, who has been known to perform under extreme conditions that would make most performers cancel, will unfortunately have no choice but to reschedule some of his April tour dates.”
