Brett Favre Undecided on NFL Return
Whether Brett Favre would be throwing touchdown passes again for the Minnesota Vikings or any other NFL teams for that matter remains to be seen. The 40-year-old quarterback said on an appearance on “The Tonight Show” with Jay Leno that he has yet to decide whether to retire or not.
Speaking publicly about his NFL plans for the first time since his Vikings were booted out by eventual Super Bowl champs New Orleans Saints in the NFC Championship, the three-time league MVP said that he would rather enjoy the offseason first rather than rush a decision.
The Vikings had said that they are willing to wait for Favre to make his decision before finalizing their plans for the 2010 season. Coach Brad Childress said the career leader in touchdown passing deserve the time off after that bitter loss to the Saints. Favre has not hidden his disappointment for failing to bring the Vikings to the Super Bowl, saying that he will probably remain upset about the loss “for a long time.”
