Brit Awards 2009: And the winners are…


Welsh singer-songwriter Duffy dominated the Brit Awards winning three major prizes.

The 24-year-old scooped Best British Female Singer, Best British Breakthrough Act and Best Album honors.

After picking up the Breakthrough award she joked to the audience at London’s Earls Court: “I’m starting to recognize your faces… I don’t mean to be greedy!”

Other winners included Katy Perry, who won Best International Female, and Paul Weller who won Best Male Solo Artist.
