Bucks trade Richard Jefferson to Spurs

The San Antonio Spurs have acquired Richard Jefferson from the Milwaukee Bucks in exchange for Bruce Bowen, Kurt Thomas and Fabricio Oberto, according to an ESPN.com report.

The two teams have agreed to the deal in principle. A call to make the trade official will be made later today, according to the report.

The Bucks acquired Jefferson just under a year ago from the New Jersey Nets. He played seven seasons with the Nets and was a key element of their back-to-back Eastern Conference Championship teams of 2002 and 2003.

The 29-year-old averaged 19.6 points and 4.6 rebounds in 82 games for Milwaukee last season.
