Carrie Underwood’s dress takes over ACM awards (Video)
Carrie Underwood might have won the top award at the 44th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards last night at the MGM Grand, but her giant red dress during her performance of “I Told You So” made a bigger splash.
The Associated Press quotes the 26-year-old singer as describing the dress as: “Kind of like water, maybe? Like red water? That sounds scary, doesn’t it? Maybe like lava. It’s like lava. Or icing. Red icing.”
Even ACM host, Reba McEntire, joked “I was going to wear that exact same dress!” after the performance.
That thing must’ve weighed a ton!
The American Idol champ was named Entertainer of the Year and Top Female Vocalist. Jamey Johnson took home song of the year honors and Rascal Flatts won their seventh in a row for top vocal group.
