UEFA Champions League: Arsenal vs. AZ Alkmaar
The Gunners are in Holland right now for their encounter against AZ Alkmaar in the UEFA Champions League.
So far the North Londoners are doing good, having scored eleven goals in their last three games in all competitions.
However, there’s some bad news. Arsene Wenger’s side will be without Theo Walcott after he suffered medial knee ligament damage against Birmingham over the weekend.
According to reports, the 20-year-old winger is likely to face a month on the sidelines, and will miss games against West Ham, Liverpool, Tottenham, Alkmaar in the return fixture and the Wanderers.
Nasri, Denilson, and Eduardo are also out, while Bendtner is doubtful. Let’s just hope that the team would still manage to perform well despite the absence of some its key players.
The match kicks-off at 20:45 CET (2:45 p.m. ET).
UPDATE: The Gunners were forced to settle for a 1-1 draw against Alkmaar as David Mendes da Silva scored a last-gasp equalizer for the Dutch champions.
