UEFA Champions League: Atletico Madrid vs. Panathinaikos

La Liga side Atletico Madrid take on Greece’s Panathinaikos F.C. in the second leg of their UEFA Champions League qualifier at the Vicente Calderon stadium this evening (August 25).

Los Colchoneros hold the advantage in their qualifying play-off against the Greeks after a 3-2 victory in an entertaining first leg in Athens.

Atletico’s Argentine striker Kun Aguero is expecting a tough game for his team against Panathinaikos. In a recent interview, he said: “It’s a Champions League match and it is difficult. We must remain calm and take it as serious as we did in Athens.”

Meanwhile Diego Forlan, the world’s top player in the FTBL ranking for the past 4 months, will certainly attempt to retain his spot. Against Panathinaikos, the Uruguayan striker will need at least two goals to retain his leadership in the standings.

The match kicks-off at 8:45 p.m. CET (2:45 p.m. ET).
