UEFA Champions League: FC Barcelona vs. Dynamo Kyiv
Current title holders FC Barcelona host Ukrainian side Dynamo Kiev in the UEFA Champions League tonight with striker Thierry Henry doubtful due to a thigh problem, and Bojan Krkic injured, leaving Zlatan Ibrahimovic as the only center forward in shape.
These two clubs have met eight times previously with four wins apiece – two at home and two away.
The Bilo-Syni are the leaders of Group F after beating Russia’s Rubin Kazan 3-1, and they would love to have a repeat of their last performance at the Camp Nou in 1997, when they thumped Barca 4-0.
Pep Guardiola’s side, who drew 0-0 at Inter Milan in their opening clash, won their fifth consecutive league game on Saturday with Ibrahimovic maintaining his record of scoring in every match.
Second only to Real Madrid, the Catalan giants have matched Los Blancos’ perfect record so far as they bid to shield last season’s ardent treble.
Game time is 8:45 p.m. (2:45 p.m. ET).
UPDATE: Lionel Messi scored Barca’s first goal after 25 minutes before Pedro Rodriguez added another to beat Dynamo 2-0 and move top of Group F in the Champions League.
