Charles Rogers, ex-Detroit Lions arrested; gets jail time
Charles Rogers, a former Detroit Lions receiver has been arrested Wednesday morning, after apparently drinking too much and passing out at a Mexican restaurant in Novi, Michigan.
Novi Deputy Police Chief Tom Lindberg said in a statement that Rogers was found slumped over at a restaurant table Tuesday afternoon after the restaurant crew members called 911.
“He was showing signs of intoxication and was uncooperative, and at that point our officers determined that he had a warrant out for his arrest,” said Lindberg.
Rogers was also arrested on a drunken-driving charge in September 2009 for violating the terms of probation in a domestic violence case. According to the Detroit Free Press, Rogers was sentenced to to finish 93 days of jail-time but since he already served 17-days earlier last year, he’ll just have to spend the remaining days at the Oakland County Jail.
