Charlie Sheen Enters Not Guilty Plea
Two and a Half Men star Charlie Sheen entered a not guilty plea on charges of assaulting his wife last Christmas in a ski resort in Aspen, Colorado where the family was having their vacation.
The 44-year-old actor was present inside the Aspen court for the hearing but did not say anything. His lawyer entered the plea on his behalf. The cases against him are felony menacing, two misdemeanors for assault and criminal mischief.
If convicted he will be facing up to three years in jail. However, his third wife, Brooke Mueller, had told the media repeatedly that she wants the case dropped. Both husband and wife tested positive to alcohol tests on the night that Mueller called the police informing them that Sheen pulled a knife on her while threatening to kill her.
Sheen is still spending nights in rehab but will start shooting again for the final four episodes of the current season of Two and a Half Men. The show has been renewed for three more terms.
Next hearing is slated on April 19 where the actor is not required to go in person. The three-day trail will start on July 21.
