Check out this creepy, yet awesome stage in Austria
Sometimes things are just too good to be true, and I must admit this gigantic human torso (with 49-foot head) floating on a lake in Austria had me in total awe. It is part of the stage setting for the verismo opera Andre Chenier by Italian composer Umberto Giordano, which will premiere in July.
As you can see the stage is still pretty much under construction, but I think it is a massive replica of the painting by Jacques-Louis David titled The Death of Marat, which is considered as one of the most famous images of the French Revolution.
