I admit to being sort of fascinated by this: Someone from Japan has created a waste container that autonomously moves to catch garbage.
Called the Smart Trashbox, the motorized bin uses the Kinect to calculate the waste’s trajectory and shifts to the location in order to catch it.
Japanese modder FRP, who custom designed and built almost every piece of the hi-tech trash can, is “still working on improving the accuracy of the device but plans to patent it and possibly bring it to market for consumers.”
