Club World Cup Semis: Gamba vs Man Utd
As Sir Alex Ferguson attempts to make Manchester United the first English team to win the Club World Cup, a courageous Gamba Osaka insist they are not afraid of the Red Devils.
The Japanese team faces a daunting task against the European champions in their semi-final match today.
This will be one of the biggest games in Gamba’s history. But unfortunately, two of their players, Takahiro Futagawa and Hayato Sasaki are not expected to be in their full physical capacity after they got injured during their win over Adelaide on Sunday.
The Red Devils are also under pressure, with Dimitar Berbatov sick with a virus and ruled out of the game, while Wayne Rooney is a doubt after picking up an injury in training.
Gamba captain Satoshi Yamaguchi believes they have what it takes to tame the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo and Rooney, should he play.
“We have nothing to lose and we’ll go all out, leave everything out there on the pitch,” he said.
On the other hand, Ferguson has found room for Gary Neville, Paul Scholes and Ryan Giggs in today’s semi-final against Osaka.
