Conan O’Brien’s New Show’s Name is…..

OBrien-Conan…Conan.

Yes, it is as simple as that.

A few days after his former show The Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien lost the Outstanding Variety, Music or Comedy Series category at the 62nd Primetime Emmy Awards to The Daily Show with Jon Stewart (the show’s eighth win), Conan O’Brien finally announced that the name of his new show set to premiere on November 8 in TBS will be a very simple name that he compared to someone he knows very well.

The host announced the name via a video posted in YouTube.

In the clip he said, “For months I have been bombarded with calls from the media demanding to know the name of my new show…. I’ve spent millions of dollars, we’ve had media research companies, we’ve had thousands of people working around the clock and we have got it. Drum roll please!”

After that he stopped to write the name of the show in a piece of paper, showed it to the camera and said, “Here it is – Conan. It’s simple, pure, like the man himself.”

O’Brien has been with NBC for 17 years first hosting Late Night then for Tonight. He left the latter show after only nine months when its schedule was moved by the show at a much later time than what has been traditional due to ratings issues.
