Jamaica and Costa Rica will square off at the Columbus Crew Stadium in Ohio later this evening to stay alive in the 2009 CONCACAF Gold Cup.

The Jamaicans, who were boosted by an improved FIFA World Ranking , suffered a 1-0 loss to Canada after Ali Gerba scored in the 75th minute. It was Gerba’s fifth career Gold Cup goal, tying Carlo Corazzin for the national record.

The match starts at 7 p.m. EDT.

UPDATE: Celso Borges’ goal in the 64th minute of the match gave Costa Rica a 1-0 victory over Jamaica, leaving the Reggae Boyz eliminated from the tournament.
