Coolio gets bench warrant after missing court date

This is no “Gangsta’s Paradise.”

A year after his arrest at an LAX terminal, rapper Coolio has been slapped with a $ 10,000 bench warrant for his failure to attend a progress report hearing at an L.A. court.

Artis Levon Ivey, Jr., the Grammy-winning rapper’s real name, was on probation for pleading guilty to possession of a controlled substance. He was allegedly carrying crack cocaine when security searched him before boarding a Southwest Airlines flight.

Coolio is more famously known for his multi-million selling hit “Gangsta’s Paradise,” in 1995. After more than 10 years, he is seen occasionally in reality shows like “Celebrity Bootcamp” and “Celebrity Fear Factor.” He also has a cooking show called “Cookin’ with Coolio.”
