Corey Haim went ‘doctor-shopping’ for pills
There is alarming new information that would shed light to the death of actor Corey Haim.
The California Attorney General said that the “Lost Boys” actor had fraudulently obtained 553 prescription pills, just two months before his death. Jerry Brown had dubbed Haim a “poster child” for prescription drug abuse.
Haim had reportedly obtained prescription drugs such as Valium, Vicodin, Xanax, and Soma through several doctors and several pharmacies. Due to this, sources say that a subpoena was sent to the doctors for their medical records.
Atty. Gen. Brown underscored the gravity of the situation with regard to ‘doctor-shopping’ for pills–that an overdose of prescription medication can be just as deadly as dangerous drugs.
Corey Haim was a popular teen idol during the 80’s. His films include Lucas, License to Drive, and The Lost Boys.
His cause of death is yet to be determined.
