As expected, those non-rockers had a difficult time performing on Tuesday’s rock-themed show—particularly Danny Gokey. I mean, what was that? My ears are still bleeding from those excruciating screams! The performance was really bad. But I’ve got to give the man some credit for stepping out of his comfort zone to sing Aerosmith’s “Dream On“.

Randy: “I know this is not your genre…this is not what you do. But I’ll give you an A+ for valiant effort.”

Kara:  “I commend you for taking chances because rock is about being bold and going for it.”

Paula: “I don’t know if this was the right song for you but again, I’m a huge fan of yours.”

Simon: “The last note… I mean it was like watching a horror movie.”
