Britney Unveils Circus Album Cover

On her official website, Britney Spears has just revealed the artwork that will be gracing the cover of her upcoming album Circus, as well as a complete track listing so here it is!

It reminds me of that Circus-themed photo shoot Madonna did for Rolling Stone way back in the day. There’s also a bit of Faith Hill with her smile. I love it! Britney looks AMAZING! I just don’t like the graphic design. It could have been better.

More than a hundred people have been killed after a strong earthquake with a magnitude of 6.4 hit south-western Pakistan, officials say.

Sex, Priests, and the Vatican

The present crisis of sexual abuse by priests has shaken the self confidence of the Catholic Church.

On Thursday, the Vatican has issued guidance for future priests to have psychological exams to get rid of those unable to control their sexual urges.

The guidance says the voluntary tests should also aim to check for those with “deep-seated homosexual tendencies”. Meaning, men with homosexual tendencies should not be allowed to train for the Catholic priesthood even if they seem able to stay celibate.

Diego Maradona is back on the field

He’s often regarded as a football legend…and called an unstable drug addict in the same sentence.
And now… the hand of God strikes again.
Diego Maradona will become Argentina’s next football coach, replacing Alfio Basile, who resigned following poor performances in qualifying for the 2010 World Cup.
Widely regarded as one of the best players in the history of the sport, Maradona is an iconic figure in Argentina.
However, many Argentines are doubtful about Maradona’s appointment and don’t think he’s fit for the job.
In an unofficial online poll by daily Clarin, nearly 74 percent …

No Porn in Indonesia

Indonesia’s parliament passed a bill banning pornography despite furious opposition to it.
Islamic parties said the law was needed to guard women and children against exploitation and to control the rising immorality in Indonesian society.
The law would ban images, gestures or talk deemed to be pornographic.
That’s pathetic. The bill will simply destroy the pluralism of Indonesian people. Artists, women’s groups and non-Muslim minorities would suffer under this law.
Ninety percent of Indonesia’s 235 million citizens are Muslim but many of its islands have large Christian and Hindu inhabitants and some women in …

The Hives sued for music theft

The Hives have been compared to punk bands such as The Ramones. According to their followers, they have visibly mastered their craft, and have begun to shove it beyond its limits without betraying its punk ethic.

But these Swedish rockers are set to be sued for alleged plagiarism by Los Angeles-based songwriter Jason Shapiro reports Music Radar.

Shapiro claims his song Why You? – recorded by The Roofies in 1997 then again by Three Way in 2002 – was copied by The Hives on their 2007 single Tick Tick Boom.
