Beastie Boys Plot Star-Studded Vote Shows

According to Billboard.com the Beastie Boys have drafted Sheryl Crow, Norah Jones, Jack Johnson and Ben Harper to join them on the Get Out and Vote tour, which will begin Oct. 28 in Richmond, Virginia. Shows are also set for Nov. 1 in St. Paul Minnesota, and Nov. 2 in Milwaukee.

Higher resolution images for Google Earth via GeoEye-1

Several weeks after the successful launch, GeoEye-1 started collecting new images of the Earth for customers at a higher resolution. The said customers include companies from oil and gas, insurance, risk management, real estate and mining industries, the internet giant Google as well as local and foreign government and military.

Brazil’s Ronaldo in talks with PSG

Brazilian forward Ronaldo, has received an offer to join Paris Saint-Germain but has also not ruled out a future partnership with Robinho at Manchester City.
The three-time FIFA World Player of the Year is recovering from a career-threatening knee injury. Ronaldo sustained the injury eight months ago while playing in Serie A for Milan but was released by the Italian club this summer.

NATO to Hit Drug Trade in Afghanistan

BUDAPEST, Hungary — NATO defense ministers authorized attacks on Afghanistan’s drug trade, after the United States reached a compromise with its other 25 allies in a major shift in strategy for the alliance.
