Taylor Momsen is back!

Taylor Momsen will be back onset within days after winning her battle with a serious throat infection.
She was spotted getting back to work on the set of Gossip Girl Friday afternoon and she looked so adorable in this picture.
Gossip Girl’s a chick show and not something I’d normally watch, but sometimes I just watch it because of her.
The 15-year-old actress and model was admitted to a medical facility in Los Angeles and was released from hospital on Wednesday and is now recovering at home, according to People.com.

Suspect arrested in Hudson slayings

Chicago Police have arrested William Balfour, a suspect in the shooting deaths of Jennifer Hudson’s mother and brother.
As detectives were interrogating the man suspected in the slayings, a search was under way for the Academy Award-winning actress‘ 7-year-old nephew Julian, who had been missing since the killings were discovered.
Balfour is also Julian’s step-father.
Darnelle Donerson and Jason Hudson were gunned down in a home on the South Side of Chicago on Friday in what can only be described as a nightmare come to life.

Richard Garriott Returns to Earth

The space tourist Richard Garriott, together with some Russian cosmonauts, safely returned to Earth from their trip to the International Space Station, Friday, October 24.

Garriott is creator of the Ultima online computer game series. He is also the son of Owen Garriott, a NASA astronaut, making him the first second-generation astronaut. He paid $30 million for his 10-day stay aboard the station. In all, he spent 12 days in space to become the station’s sixth paying visitor and the first American second-generation astronaut.

24 dead in Yemen floods

The Southeastern province of Hadramaut is now a disaster zone, when floods caused by heavy rains killed at least 24 people on Friday.
Hadramaut Governor Salem al-Khanbashi said the bodies of 18 people who had drowned had been recovered in various parts of the region.
A child was among six other people who perished when four provinces in eastern Yemen were flooded in torrential rains. Witnesses said they saw bodies floating in streams swelled by a downpour that lasted for some 30 hours.

War declared on mob as car bomb kills Croatian journalist

Croatia declared a war on organized crime after a car bomb killed Ivo Pukanic, a well-known journalist, and a colleague in downtown Zagreb on Thursday.
Pukanic, the publisher of the leading weekly Nacional, and his marketing director Niko Franjic have been killed in an explosion that took place in Zagreb’s Palmoticeva Street at 6:30pm.
The explosive device went off beneath his new Lexus car outside the magazine’s offices injuring two more staff who were at the parking lot at the time.

Norton: Brad can’t sing

If you’ve heard rumors about a Fight Club musical, don’t expect to see Brad Pitt or Edward Norton appear in any such production.
In a recent interview, Edward Norton has dismissed rumors he is to reunite with Brad Pitt in a Broadway version of their hit film Fight Club.

Brady case on knee damage still unclear

New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady verified on his official website that he underwent a second surgical procedure to crackdown an infection in his injured left knee.
Tom Brady has been dealing with a “septic joint” since surgery earlier this month to repair torn ligaments in his left knee. Brady was supposed to be back in New England by now, but a timeline for his return remains unclear.
