Christina Aguilera joined Alicia Keys and John Legend for “CNN Heroes: An All-Star Tribute,” which aired Thanksgiving night on CNN.
The show, taped before an audience of more than 2,000 at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood, paid tribute to the top 10 CNN Heroes of 2008.

Nadal and Federer to participate in 2009 Qatar Open

World’s top two players, Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer will unlock the 2009 ATP season by playing at the Qatar Open.
Qatar tennis federation president Nasser al-Kholiafi says Andy Murray and Andy Roddick will also take part in the hard-court tournament, which starts Jan. 5.
The competition in Doha is one of three to start the 2009 tennis season, along with the Brisbane International in Australia, and the Chennai Open in India.
Nadal recently succeeded Federer as the World’s No. 1 tennis player.

Battle for Mumbai ends, death toll rises to 195

MUMBAI, India: Commandos Saturday killed the last remaining gunmen in Mumbai’s Taj Hotel to end the shocking attack by Islamic militants on India’s financial district that left 195 dead, including 22 foreigners.
Shortly after dawn broke on the third day of the siege in Mumbai, heavy gunfire and loud explosions signaled the final commando attack against the militants, who had held hundreds of security personnel at bay for 60 hours.

Wal-Mart worker killed in Black Friday stampede

A 34-year-old Wal-Mart employee died Friday morning after being trampled by bargain-hungry shoppers in the rush to grab some great deals. Several other shoppers were injured during the incident, and the store was closed by authorities.

The worker was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead at about 6 a.m., Nassau County police said. The exact cause of death had not been determined, and the man’s name was not released.

µTorrent releases a Mac version

The long wait is over!
µTorrent has released a Mac version in beta. This is the first official Mac beta for Intel Macs running OS X 10.5 Leopard. The software is free to download and use. Just be careful because this beta software may contain serious bugs.
For those who aren’t very familiar with the software, µTorrent is a BitTorrent client.
BitTorrent is a peer-to-peer program developed by Bram Cohen. It is often used for distribution of very large files, very popular files, and files available for free.
