Middlesex postpones India arrival after Mumbai attacks

LONDON: Cricket’s Middlesex captain Shaun Udal has said the English county would not be going to Mumbai as planned after the terror attacks hit the Indian city.
The team were due to fly to Mumbai on Thursday for the inaugural Twenty20 Champions League but former England off-spinner Udal told Sky Sports: “All we know is our flight has been cancelled in the morning.”
Udal added he understood the tournament, involving the domestic Twenty20 finalists from England, Australia, South Africa and the Indian Premier League (IPL), would continue but with the Mumbai matches …

Reno cops arrest suspect for murder of Brianna Denison

Reno police arrested a suspect in the abduction, rape and killing of Reno teenager Brianna Denison. She was 19 when the abduction occurred as she slept on a friend’s couch.

Her body was found Feb. 15 in a field in south Reno.
James Michael Biela, 27, was detained Tuesday at the Washoe County Jail on suspicion of kidnapping, murder and sexual assault, officials said. He is being held without bail.

FC Barcelona Beats Sporting Lisbon

FC Barcelona locked their way to the knockout stages of the UEFA Champions League as winners of Group C after beating Sporting Lisbon 5-2.
With the two teams having already qualified for the knockout stage, unbeaten Barca took their points tally to 13 with one game still to play, four points ahead of the Lisbon team.
The opening of the match was quite cold, though Barcelona had more ball possession; they weren’t able to break Sporting defense until Lionel Messi started running the show to assist Thierry Henry, who opened the score.

80 feared dead in Mumbai, India attacks

MUMBAI, India–Heavy machine guns, AK-47s, and grenades erupted across Mumbai, India, killing more than 80 people and injuring at least 200, officials said Thursday.
Heavily armed gunmen stormed luxury hotels, a popular tourist attraction and a crowded train station in at least seven attacks. Police said the terrorists targeted British and American tourists.
