Paula Abdul to leave American Idol?

Rumor has it that Paula Abdul is leaving American Idol develop her own TV project.

According to OK! magazine Paula is planning her exit now that Kara DioGaurdi signed on. Paula is planning to focus completely on her new endeavor.

Barack Obama adds 3 more White House aides

With just 65 days left before Barack Obama is sworn in as president, his transition team continues to move fast to fill key senior jobs in the White House.
Obama, who relinquished his Senate seat Sunday, added three veterans from his campaign and Senate office to his incoming White House operations.
The president-elect has tapped his Senate chief of staff Pete Rouse to be a White House Senior Adviser while Mona Sutphen and Jim Messina will both serve as deputy chiefs of staff.

Bye Bye TRL! Total Request Live Ends

Total Request Live is ending their 10 year appearance on MTV. MTV’s Total Request Live will close the show Sunday, November 16 at 8pm ET.

Damien Fahey, the longtime host of TRL said:
“It’s the end of an era for a lot of fans. A lot grew up on ‘TRL’ and never thought they’d see the day where it ended. It was an American institution for kids. Seeing that go away and fade out is pretty shocking to them, I’m sure.” [via LATimes]

Hilary Duff lands new TV deal with NBC

Former Disney star Hilary Duff is returning to TV – after signing a deal to star in her own series.
Duff, now 21, has signed a one-year development deal with NBC that sees the former Lizzie McGuire star getting her own series and appear in other NBC network television shows. Details of the show are yet to be worked out.

Gen. Dunwoody–America’s first female four-star general

In an emotional promotion ceremony at the Pentagon Friday morning, Lt. Gen. Ann Dunwoody made history when she was promoted to Four-Star General, becoming the first woman to ever receive such a rank in the U.S. military.
Defense Secretary Robert Gates, all of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and Central Command Commander Gen. David Petraeus were all present at the ceremony.
U.S. President George Bush nominated Dunwoody for the post in June, and the decision was approved by the U.S. Senate.
